Choosing a Wireless Network
On ACU's campus, you are likely to encounter four wireless networks:
- ACUsecure - this is the recommended network for all students and employees.
- Airplay - this networked is used in classrooms and other spaces with Apple TVs. Connection is restricted.
- BasicACUwifi - this network is made available for devices with older wireless technology that cannot connect to ACUsecure.
- Guest-ACU - this network is for guests who do not have ACU usernames and cannot connect to the other networks.
Connect to an ACU Wireless Network on an iPhone:
- Open the "Settings" app.
- Tap on "Wi-Fi."
- Select the network to connect to.
- Enter your ACU username and password, then click Join.
- If you are presented with a Certificate pop-up, click Trust.
Connect to an ACU Wireless Network on Android:
- Swipe down from the top of the screen.
- Touch and hold the Wi-Fi symbol.
- Select the network.
- Use this configuration:
- EAP method - PEAP.
- Phase 2 authentication - None.
- CA certificate - Use system certificates
- Domain - acu.edu
- Identity - Your ACU username.
- Anonymous identity - Leave this blank.
- Password - Your ACU password.
Connect to an ACU Wireless Network on ChromeOS
- Open network settings.
- Select an ACU network to connect to.
- Click connect.
- Change EAP method to "PEAP"
- CA certificate - Don't check (the network is providing the certificate. Ignore messages about the connection not being private; you are connecting to a known, trusted network).
- Under Identity put your ACU username, under password put the ACU password for the account.
Connect to an ACU wireless network on macOS:
- Click on the Wi-Fi symbol near the top-right corner of the screen.
- Select the network.
- Enter your ACU username and password.
Connect to an ACU wireless network on Windows:
- Click on the Wi-Fi/network symbol near the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Select the network.
- Enter your ACU username and password.
