Connecting to ACUSecure requires that you enter your myACU username and password. Sometimes on you may run into an issue where you are entering the correct account credentials but are still unable to connect. This commonly occurs shortly after changing your myACU password, but can also occur at other times. This issue can often be fixed by forgetting the network and reconnecting with the following steps:
For Mac:
- Click on the apple in the upper left hand corner of your desktop.
- Click "System Preferences".
- Click "Network".
- Towards the left hand side of the window there will be several options such as "WiFi", "Bluetooth", and "Ethernet". Ensure that "WiFi" is selected there.
- With WiFi selected, click "Advanced" in the lower right hand area of the window.
- The next window that pops up should be a list of WiFi networks that you have connected to in the past. If you do not see this, ensure that "WiFi" is selected at the top of the window.
- Locate ACUSecure in the list. Click it once and then click the '-' sign beneath. Click "Ok" and "Apply".
- Restart the computer and try connecting to ACUSecure once again. It should now accept your credentials.
For Windows:
- Go down to the WiFi symbol in the bottom-right of the screen (usually next to the clock and calendar).
- Right-click ACUSecure and select forget.
- Left-click on ACUSecure and connect.
Note: When logging into ACUSecure your username will be your ACU email without the "@acu.edu."
If your username and password are still not working it is possible that your myACU account is locked. To check for this you can try logging in at my.acu.edu. To have your account unlocked please contact the Support Center at 325-674-4357.
