This article outlines the process for creating a job position. This process assumes the position does not already exist and is for Full-Time, Reduced Full-Time, or Half-Time positions. It is not for Part-Time, Adjunct, or Student Employees.
Creating a position does NOT create a Job Requisition - it creates a vacancy to which you can later create a job requisition and hire someone into.
For creating a job requsition, see this linked article.
