Configuring Email Notification Settings

You can customize when you get email alerts and how often you receive them in Workday. This helps ensure you get the notices you need without being overwhelmed by those you don't.

Setting Notification Preferences

  1. From the Workday Home Screen, click on your Profile Picture in the upper right and select "My Account"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. Next select "Change Preferences"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. Scroll down the page to find the Email notification preferences. Set them as best works for you.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

Notification Settings

For each type of notification you can choose one of three options:

  • Immediate - Immediately receive an email notification for this item.
  • Daily - Receive a daily digest email every day every morning with your notices.
  • Mute - Receive no email notices for this item.

Notification Types

  • Business Processes - These notification types are related to business tasks like approving time or expenses and notices about important tasks.
  • Recruiting - These notifications types are related to the hiring process and include things like candidate applications.
