Body
This article will outline the process for creating a job requisition (i.e., a job posting) for Students, Faculty, or Staff. This process assumes that a job position already exists if one is needed. For new, full-time positions, you will need to create a position first using the Create Job Position task.
- From the Workday home page, go to the Create Job Requisition task by searching for "Create Job Requisition."

- In the Create Job Requisition task, the Supervisory Organization should automatically populate with your own name. Please update this to the correct manager of the position if it is not you.
- For full-time faculty and staff positions, the standard Supervisory Organization should be used, not "_JM."
- For adjunct faculty, student employees, and part-time employees, you need to use the Job Management version of the Supervisory Organization indicated with "_JM."
- Select the position this requisition will be for, or the person you are replacing.
- Note: Adjunct faculty, student employees, and part-time employees don't require positions.
- Worker Type is Employee.
- Click OK to go to the new requisition.
Recruiting Information Section
- Click anywhere in the Recruiting Details panel to edit.
- For Adjunct Faculty, Student Employees, and Part-time Employees; there will be a Number of Openings field where you should indicate how many people you want to hire.
- Note: Once you have reached the # of hires in a requisition, the requisition closes and all remaining candidates are rejected. It is better to overestimate the # of hires than underestimate.
- Set the Reason. New positions and student employees will be "Budgeted Allocation."
- Set the Recruiting Start Date and Target Hire Date to today's date.
- Note: Do not use a future date.
- Do not choose an end date unless this is a true temporary position. Adjuncts or Students are not temporary.
- Click Next to go to the Job Section.
