How do I set up passwordless sign-in requests?

Passwordless sign-in requires the Microsoft Authenticator app with notifications enabled. If you have not already done so, set those up. It is recommended to do this on a computer so you can easily scan the QR code.

  1. Go to https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info.
  2. Click "Add sign-in method."
  3. Click "Microsoft Authenticator."
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts. Be sure to allow notifications.

Once you have the Microsoft Authenticator app as your MFA method, set up passwordless sign-in in the app.

  1. Open the Microsoft Authenticator app.
  2. Tap on your ACU account.
  3. Tap "Set up Passwordless Sign-in Requests."
  4. Sign in to your account.
  5. Open a browser window where you are not already signed in to SSO.
  6. Go to my.acu.edu.
  7. Put in your ACU email address, but don't enter your password.
  8. Click the link for "Use an app instead."
