I received an email from Google saying that a sign-in attempt was blocked for an account that ends in"@gtempaccount.com".

You will sometimes get an email like the one below because there was a related app or service that had permission to the account, but no longer does.

How do I solve this?

  1. Using a different browser than you normally use, go to Gmail.com.
  2. Sign in there with this GTemp Account (e.g. NET_ID%acu.edu@gtempaccount.com ).
  3. Then put in the password that you would have most likely used.
    • If you don't recall this password, there will be password reset options.
  4. Once signed in, you will need to delete the account.
  5. Make sure that you are doing this in a different browser to be certain the account you are using is this GTempAccount.
  6. To delete the account:
    1. Go to https://myaccount.google.com/
    2. Under Account preferences, click Delete your account or services.
    3. Click Delete Google Account account and data.
    4. Follow through the steps to delete the account.
